Theme: “Husbandry, technical, welfare and care refinements – little steps can make a big difference in animal and staff wellbeing”

Abstracts for Posters/Posterettes to be presented at the Annual Conference are requested. Submissions are invited particularly, but not exclusively, on topics related to husbandry, technical, welfare and care refinements. Please note that there is another separate abstract call open for presentations about Innovations in the 3Rs (details on the event page).

We strongly encourage the participation of young animal technologists and early career researchers including PGT students to present any preliminary, pilot and/or ongoing current work. This is a great opportunity to discuss your work with other colleagues in the field. Poster panels will be provided for display in the Trade & communal meeting rooms to support engagement with the meeting attendees. Furthermore, there will be the option to give a 3-minute poster talk (elevator pitch style) on the first day of the meeting (18 November) at the Care, Welfare and Management session.

Posters that have been presented elsewhere aligned to the meeting theme will still be considered and will be eligible for the awards. Importantly, only those covering work conforming to all legal and ethical requirements will be accepted.

Abstracts will be considered for publication on the LASA website and promoted across our membership. Abstracts should be submitted electronically via the event page or by email to info@lasa.co.uk

Deadline for abstract submission: 23:59 on Monday 16 September 2024
Acceptance will be notified by the latest 5 October 2024

We encourage early submissions to support your early registration and planning for attending the meeting.

Posters will be on display during the first and second days of the meeting (18 and 19 November).

–    Remember that little steps can make a difference to best animal and/or staff wellbeing.
