We are developing succession for our current Treasurer position on LASA Council. This is an important role that supports LASA’s mission and aims and oversees our finances. Given its importance, we are aiming for a period of shadowing and handover. This process is designed to support any new applicant in getting up to speed with the role and how it works whilst we still have our current Treasurer in place and will help new applicants become familiar with the operations of LASA Council.
The Treasurer is one of the Executive Officer roles and as such will also act as a Trustee (registered on Companies House and Charities Commission) in relation to our status as a charity alongside the other Executive Officers.
The position can start over the summer but will be subject to election by LASA membership at this Autumn’s AGM.
As part of the application, we invite candidates to submit a short CV (no more than one page, including two references) and a personal statement of up to 250 words that details what you believe you will bring to LASA council as our treasurer. This will be reviewed by the LASA Officers in the first instance. The current Treasurer may arrange to speak with Candidates virtually as part of the process and references may be taken up. All potential appointments are discussed and agreed by the full LASA Council and proposed new members will be put forward for election at the AGM.
The closing date for receipt of CVs/personal statements is Wednesday 15 May 2024.
